About Casual Bling!
What drives Casual Bling?
Greyhounds! Greyhounds are my passion. I adopted my first retired racing greyhound in 1999. As soon as I laid eyes on her I
was done. Currently I am owned by three of these magnificent athletes; SS Tal Iano - 'Jake', System CS Buddy - 'Jet' and our
pre-adopted pup 'Peanut' who joined us in March 2007. Peanut is a Follow That Hound puppy I watched her grow up from an itty
bitty peanut to a gorgeous greyhound girl. She had a very brief racing career with the racing team at B & J Racing Kennel. Our
first greyhound, our beautiful 13 1/2 year old Diva girl, Foxy left us on August 5, 2008.
My love of greyhounds led me to my business; my business lets me support the work of many greyhound adoption programs, a win,
win situation for everyone. I donate regularly to auctions that raise funds for vet bills, food, transportation and day to day
expenses. I'm an active board member of the Greyhound Supporters of the NCR.
In 2005, I have turned my attentions to cancer research in greyhounds. I started Hope for Hounds to raise awareness and money
to support research on cancer in greyhounds. All money raised through Hope for Hounds will be sent to Dr Couto of Ohio State
University to be used for the Greyhound Health and Welfare Program. My prayers are with all dogs and their families as they
battle this horrible disease.
